If you are reading this, you are likely seeking support for yourself or a loved one. You are not alone. Like many others, I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and trauma. As a teenager and young adult, I was fortunate to have access to therapists who changed my life with their knowledge and compassion. I was inspired to earn a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, which I attained from McGill University in Montreal. Now I strive to help others using my education in psychology, my personal experiences, and more than 10 years of experience working and training in the mental health field.
I believe that everyone is complex, worthy, and resilient. With this in mind, I help teens and adults navigate life’s challenges. I offer a caring and non-judgemental space where you are welcome to show up just as you are. Together we will seek to understand your unique personal story with curiosity and empathy.
We will discuss your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and build on your strengths. Whether your goal is self-exploration, healing, improving your mental health, or living a more engaged and meaningful life, it would be my privilege to work with you.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I charge $150 + HST per 50min session for individual counselling.

Are you struggling to redefine your identity after a major life change? I’ve been there. After many years of being a collegiate and professional runner, I retired. I felt a deep sense of loss and didn’t know who I was if I wasn’t an athlete. After a long and bumpy journey of self-discovery and self-compassion—along with tremendous success coaching elite NCAA athletes—I chose to become a psychotherapist so I could support those struggling with internal pain, and help others deal with grief and identity. Alex provides individual therapy as well as couples’ therapy and family therapy.

With the right support, clients can regain control of their lives.
Have you ever felt helpless in the face of life’s challenges? Life is full of challenges which can become opportunities to learn, grow, and discover.
Sometimes though, these challenges become too much to handle. Perhaps we’ve experienced a loss, a major change, or a trauma. Life experiences can take away the sense of control over our lives leaving us feeling stuck and overwhelmed, feeling helpless to overcome them. This can lead to symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I have had seasons of anxiety and depression in my own life too. By learning about my symptoms, challenging my limiting beliefs, and gaining new perspectives, I’ve been able to regain control of my life. My life journey has given me a passion for supporting others to overcome their struggles.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
I support children ages 6+, adolescents, adults, and mature adults 65+

Have you ever felt alone, disconnected or abandoned?
I’ve had many of those moments too. My childhood years were shaped by my parents’ severe mental illness. We needed the support of a caring community of family and friends to help us walk through many difficult times.
Our mental wellness ebbs and flows throughout our lives as we navigate different challenges, losses and victories. Some life chapters are difficult to travel through, but in every season there can be moments of beauty and joy.
Growing up amidst parental mental illness came with a lot of challenges but it also gave me compassion, inspiration, understanding and a relentless resilience. These are the qualities that I bring to my practice, giving clients space to be heard and sharing with them the tools to move forward.
I have studied psychology and human behavior for much of my adult life. It has helped me navigate this world and provided me with the opportunity to help others.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO. I work with adults of all ages, using a multimodal approach to the individuals I am blessed to support.

Each time you feel let down, disappointed, discouraged or despondent it’s not permanent. There’s another breath of air where you can exhale that feeling, shake out your body and know that you have another chance to heal, to grow and to transform.
We all want to be well, to express our unique and beautiful versions of ourselves. However, hidden feelings of shame, guilt, or fear can take route and derail us from who we want to be. When we bring those thoughts and emotions to light in a safe space, it creates an opportunity to grow, heal and move forward.
Through my own life I have had struggles. I utilize my own process of healing to empathize and truly recognize the difficulty in moving onward through stress, pain, loss, or change. It is this attunement that truly resonates for my clients - to be fully seen, fully understood, and to be deeply heard.
If you are feeling stuck, I’m here to help. I honour who you are and I’ll meet you where you are at. My job is not to judge you, instead I will encourage and support you to be your whole self.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I draw from Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, Attachment, and Psychodynamic theories in my practice.
I support adolescents 14+, adults, and mature adults 65+

Feeling misunderstood or out of place? Feeling stuck and need a plan to move forward? I’m here to help.
I always wanted to be a therapist. Growing up in Barrie, there were many times that loved ones and friends needed extra help when they were going through hard times. Having a counselor or psychotherapist come alongside them in that time of need gave them the support they needed to make changes and move forward.
I became a therapist so that I could be that person who believes in you when nobody else does. I’m here for people who have a lot to lose and those who have nothing left to lose. I believe there is hope for everyone and I’m here to help you get unstuck and move forward.
If you’re feeling alone in your struggle, I’m here. I’ll hear you out and offer tools to help you meet your goals.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I draw from a wide range of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour (REBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Strength-Based and other evidence-based practices.

Life is unpredictable, but your response to life doesn’t have to be. When people of any age go through stressors and trauma, it is common to feel like life is falling apart. In my own life journey I have experienced traumas, serious illnesses, and deaths of people closest to me. I know what it is to feel depressed and alone. I know what it’s like to grieve and feel like no one understands. My passion is to help people navigate through trauma and difficult situations, and feel a sense of peace and healing. Everyone’s journey is different and unique, so there is not a cookie cutter approach that’s right for every individual. For this reason, I have been trained in various modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Play Therapy. I have also been trained in EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy to address traumatic events. I offer services for children 5+ and adults.

Have you ever had low-self esteem, shy or stuck?
I was there before. I had low self-esteem and shyness. I didn’t think I was a good person and had a sense of shame. What happened to me was a spiritual journey. I had to be authentic about who I am before my peers, myself, and my God. What I found instead of rejection was warmth, acceptance, and forgiveness. I found freedom.
This freedom allowed me to travel the world, meet amazing people and find my passion. For the last 11 years, I’ve spent my time mentoring people and teaching. I get most excited when seeing another person turn their lives around and begin living full lives. Unfortunately, I hit some hurdles. I’ve met some friends with deeper issues than I knew how to deal with. They struggled with anxiety, depression, alcohol dependence. That is when I decided to pursue a Masters in Counselling Psychology.
I’m a member of the Association of Registered Psychotherapists & Mental Health Professionals (OACCPP) and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists Ontario (CRPO).

You do so much to help others, let me help you for a change.
Do you feel burnt out? Have experiences at work made you feel morally distressed? Do you feel stuck on a traumatic event that happened a while ago? I’m here to help you reset.
Working in a caring profession can be draining and it can be easy to take on other people’s suffering. After being raised by first responders (police officer and nurse) and working for many years as a Paediatric ICU nurse, the reality of burnout and PTSD are all too familiar. When you give so much of yourself to others, you can sometimes lose yourself. It doesn’t have to be this way.
I’m here to help you hold your ground and set appropriate boundaries. First Responders, including healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and more, see many things at work that may be hard to process. Decisions you have make on the job may not sit well with you morally. It might be hard to talk about work with people close to you. These experiences can have a profound impact on your life. You don’t have to carry those burdens alone. Let me help you heal so that you get unstuck and move forward.
I am passionate about helping those who serve our community. Whether you’re seeking therapy after experiencing a trauma, or wanting maintenance therapy to equip you for rough days, I am here to walk alongside you. Using evidence based therapies, including CBT and CPT, I can help you establish goals and process emotions and events so that you can get on with your life.
I am a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). I am being supervised by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and I can provide RP receipts (please check what your benefits cover). I draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and other modalities in my practice.
I support adolescents 14+ and adults who are seeking help.

Relationships can be a lot of fun! Most start out that way - full of warmth, affection, and a dash of romance. But sometimes couples lose their way, finding themselves stuck in places that leave them feeling terribly dark and disconnected. You’re not alone! And chances are, with a little help, you and your partner can learn how to find each other again, mend old wounds, and build something new.
My approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an effective method that has helped many couples rediscover their emotional bond and build a more fulfilling relationship. EFT is designed to address the underlying emotional patterns that can cause distress in relationships. As your EFT therapist, I will help you both to understand the patterns you’ve been stuck in, so you can learn new steps to move closer together. In therapy, there are no bad guys (even though it may not seem that way right now!), and it is important to me that you both feel heard and understood.
I also work with parents who are seeking support with the complexities of raising children. It is common for families, even those held together by the most resourceful and thoughtful parents, to fall into patterns that leave everyone burnt out and disconnected. In therapy, let’s work together to disrupt old patterns, so we can start building approaches that lead to a happier, more connected family.
